James Howlett became a mutant while he was a kid, and grew up as The Wolverine.
Wolverine can dig holes, climb walls, open certain switches and use Wolverine senses with his super powers. He gets sliver claws after his old bone claws. A robot mech later sliced Wolverine's claws off in a fight in Japan, returning to his bone ones.
